About the Program
Since June 2012, the Creative Living Community of Connecticut’s Vocational Greenhouse Program has been empowering adults with developmental disabilities through meaningful horticultural work. Each week, participants spend 2–3 hours in the greenhouse where they gain vocational training in planting and gardening while also building physical, social, and life skills. Beyond cultivating microgreens, the program provides a supportive environment that prepares individuals for greater independence, strengthens employability, and fosters community connections.
